Some people think that investing has nothing to do with Christianity or religion. Quite the contrary, the Bible has much to say about wealth and acquiring wealth. There are several wealthy characters mentioned in the Bible who were God's people; Noah, Job, Abraham, David and Solomon are prominent. There are parables of minas and talents that promote investing wisely and are used to represent spiritual values as well. Riches are blessings from God. The Bible also states that a good man leaves an inheritance onto his children's children.

Investing is not only for the rich either. Many people cannot afford to buy or own an estate or even a house but have more than enough to live on. They too should strive to invest wisely and to leave an inheritance onto their children.

This by no means takes away from the principles of charity and love toward your neighbour and doing onto others as you would have others do onto you. However, I believe that a person should prioritize and take care of himself and his family first. This is also a Biblical principle. A person who does not provide for his family is worse than an infidel the Bible also states.

Something else to bear in mind, we should not judge by outward appearances.
