🔍 How to Search the Family of God Bible (FOGB)
Welcome! This search engine is fast and private. It does not use the 'cloud' or save your searches. Here’s how to get the best results.
Basic FOGB Search Tips
- Click on any 'Search' button
- Type normal words or phrases:
love God, mercy justice, expectation, rejoice glad
- Use quotes for exact phrases:
"broken hearted", "will protect you"
- Keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl + K (Windows) or Cmd + K (Mac)
- Click 'clear' in 'Search' text-box to start a new search
- Click 'Esc' on your keyboard or outside the 'Search' text-box to close 'search'
Searching for Bible Chapters (Book Chapter)
Use the 'All Books' button to navigate to the Main Table of Contents (TOC) to quickly change Books.
Use the Table of Contents (TOC) on each book page to go directly to the chapter you want.
The 'Return To Top' button after every chapter will quickly get you bact to the page's TOC.
The main search works very well for words and topics, but for precise verse references (e.g. 1 John 5:7), using the TOC is currently the fastest and most direct way.
Advanced Search Tricks
Isaiah — enter or start to enter any book name to quickly get to its TOCheart* — finds: heart, hearted, hearth, etc. asterisk often not needed
