My journey with the Bible began in first grade, when I opened its pages and read the Ten Commandments. The fourth commandment—to keep the Sabbath holy—stopped me in my tracks. Everyone I knew attended church on Sunday, yet God’s Word called for Sabbath observance. That moment sparked a curiosity about scripture and a desire to seek God’s truth that would shape my life.
Â
As a teenager, I tuned in to Herbert W. Armstrong’s The World Tomorrow radio broadcast. His teachings about God’s Word resonated deeply, like music to my ears. By my mid-twenties, I was reading the Bible daily, completing it cover to cover three times by age 30. Each reading deepened my love for scripture and my commitment to living its truths.
Â
In 1983, at age 30, I discovered the Plain Truth Magazine and the Worldwide Church of God’s publications. These resources fueled intense study, leading to rapid growth in my understanding of scripture. A year later, I was baptized into the Family of God—a milestone that solidified my devotion to God’s way. Observing the weekly Sabbath and High Holy Days became a rhythm, and during the Feast of Tabernacles, I sought out Bible bookstores, building a collection of Bibles and reference works.
Â
Over time, I noticed troubling inconsistencies in the Bible—translation discrepancies, textual variants, and apparent contradictions often debated by scholars. These “errors,” as I called them, became increasingly bothersome. With my library of a dozen hard-copy Bibles, sixteen digital versions, and key reference books, I began cataloging these issues. The internet and search engines opened new doors, revealing ancient texts like the Codex Sinaiticus. I also discovered the value of Bible footnotes revealing discrepancies in abundance.
Â
In 2020, amid a time of global change, I felt a strong urge to act. Could I create a Bible free of these errors—a scripture reflecting God’s Word as I had come to understand it through decades of study? Thus began the Family Of God Bible, a labor of love and devotion spanning over five years. I cross-referenced Greek and Hebrew texts, consulted my extensive collection, and used modern tools, including artificial intelligence like Grok, to refine my work. The result is a Bible achieving clarity, accuracy and fidelity to God’s truth.
Â
This Family Of God Bible is for anyone seeking a scripture unburdened by inconsistencies that can obscure God’s message. Born of a journey that began with a child’s wonder and grew through years of faith and study, it is a mission to honor the Family of God. I invite you to explore these pages and join me in pursuing the truth of God’s Word.
