Deuteronomy 4:25 and 26 (NIV84)
After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time, if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil (see Deuteronomy 4:1 and 2) in the eyes of the LORD your God and provoking him to anger, I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land (the Nation of Israel) that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed.

Hear now, O Israel (12 tribes), the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.
This warning hold true for today as well and this is why the US, Britain, Europe (the ten lost tribes of Israel) and the nation of Israel (the Jews two tribes, Judah and Benjamin) still face trouble.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
Ask the Jews if they have added extra books and laws to the Tanakh, the first covenant. Ask the Catholics if they have any statues, idols and icons, ask them if they kiss and talk to such things. Ask the protestants if they observe the appointed Holy Days of God. Do the people of the US, Britain, Europe and Israel adhere to the teachings of the Bible? Is the Bible being tampered with, being adulterated? Is sin in the western world becoming predominant? What does the future hold? See if God holds true to His word.
