Intimidation
I am far too easily and too frequently intimidated. It used to be, back when I was growing up, that only bullies and mothers used that annoying character trait. Now that I am older I encounter it more often; in bosses, coworkers, friends and women. I suspect that television shows have something to do with this phenomenon. There have been a lot of shows concerning the mafia and gangster type movies that have become quite popular of late, shows like the Godfather and The Sopranos and one that I watched recently The Goodfellows, satire to an extreme.
Intimidation is really an illegal activity. It is against God^s laws. To lawbreakers it is like practicing a religion. It is in opposition to love your neighbour as yourself, that is treating people with respect and dignity. It leaves no room for intellectual discussions it is simply imposing your will on others with total disregard for anything else. A completely detestable way of life and one that will not be tolerated in God^s Kingdom, I am sure, because God tolerates no rivals. His patience will come to an end someday and only the righteous will survive. The final judgment will come, in God^s own time, upon all who have ever lived. God^s laws will dominate.
People who intimidate mock not only the intimidated but also God. But God is not mocked nor is He intimidated. He is a loving and patient God with great tolerance even for the wicked giving all an opportunity for repentance. Man will come to the brink of self destruction through his hatred before God intervenes, we are taught through the Bible. There are some who would have God intervene in their lives every time they perceive a serious problem, some every time they have a slight discomfort. There are many who would tell God what to do, how to run the world, on a regular basis. If God were to intervene now and eliminate sinners from the face of the earth there would not be one person left standing and it would defeat his purpose for mankind. God does intervene with mankind but primarily on a personal basis, if one repents He grants them repentance and grants them change. These are the ones who will be part of God^s Kingdom not the ones who think much of themselves for intimidating the world into false beliefs and self destruction.
Intimidation only proves one thing, that there are feeble minded people. The most feeble minded are the intimidators. They are head strong, thick sculled, tough and witless. They can^t think there way past there own lusts. Lust for power, ruling over others, domineering, being the centre of attention, selfishness, mock respect, instilling fear, etc., it^s all the same, it^s evil. These people will soon be forgotten in God^s Kingdom and will, except for their dust and smoke, cease to exist.
As for war, I stand on the side of the conscientious objector.
