The problem? Christianity is comprised of humans.
And they have to deal with other non-Christian humans on a daily basis.
Humans have faults. They have flaws, injuries, scars both physical and emotional. They have limited ability and are often barely adequate in many situations and often feel inadequate.
Everyone is at a different level of understanding, has a different background of experience and knowledge, has different intellectual capacity, has a different relationship with God and has a different spiritual awareness.
What we all have in common is the need for a solution. We need healing, education, guidance, love and understanding. The ultimate solution is a transformation into a new indestructible everlasting body and spirit. The way to attain this body is to partake of the body of Christ and be a part of that body spiritually now and until death. The next thing you know, it will be given to you.
How do you convince anyone of that? I do not know that it is possible. We ve probably all tried to convince or even convert someone at some time or other and failed. Some have tried many times and failed. God calls out people and gives them knowledge, understanding and desires. His chosen ones are the ones who are given the knowledge that leads to salvation through His Holy Spirit. Once they have spiritual guidance they can ask us the right questions and we can help them.
Who does God choose? He looks at those with contrite hearts. He looks for those who possess and strive for His traits. He looks at the downhearted, down trodden, the lowly in spirit, the rejected, the oppressed and the ones who will benefit from His attention, appreciate it and not abuse it. He also chooses those who seek His help genuinely not out of selfishness. And he chooses the grateful.
Until you repent and accept Christ^s sacrifice for the forgiveness of your human sins you are headed on a path to death. Christianity gives you the opportunity to die now to this life of futile, Godless and selfish goals and ambitions and start a new life as a new man with much greater and much more righteous goals and ambitions that lead to life. God^s burden is light. The physical differences are often minor and subtle. The Spiritual difference is like life and death, good and evil, righteousness and unrighteousness.
Reminds me of Taking It To The Streets by the Doobie Brothers where they say:
You don^t know me but I^m your brother
Take this message to my brother
and
You will find him everywhere
