Reading The Bible Changed My Life

I now observe the Holy days; the weekly Sabbath, the first and last Day on Unleavened Bread, the Day of Pentecost, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, The first Day of the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day. Consequently I now obey all the ten commandments. I pay a tithe of my earnings to the Church. I celebrate the Passover, the night to be much observed, the week long Feast of Unleavened Bread and the week long Feast of Tabernacles. I try to keep abreast of world events that are signs of coming fulfilment of Biblical prophecy. I maintain a website that deals with my studies and observations concerning religion. I have a more sure hope for eternal life now. I have the goal of improving my relationship with God through study, prayer and by leading a righteous life. These are all dramatic changes from before I read the Bible.

Reading the Bible for myself awakened me to a great deal of knowledge about the religions of the world, notably the Roman Catholic Religion which I was brought up in, and the teachings of the Bible. I went on a quest to find a Church that could clarify my questions and remain true to the teachings of the Bible. The Roman Catholic Church did not do this. It took a short while to find the Church Of God. My quest for truth remains, though after twenty years there are few new truths or surprises. My fervor to awaken the world is more controlled and perhaps more realistic.

These past twenty years have heightened my awareness that I have been chosen by God. I know that I have been chosen because He has given me an awareness of true religion, an understanding of true teachings of the Bible, an insight into prophecy, a will to learn more and a desire to teach others. The very desire to read the Bible is a gift from God. My task is to be and to remain grateful, humble, doubtless and faithful.
