The Feast of Tabernacles
9 October 2014 is the 15th of the 7th month on the sacred calendar, a Holy Day, a High Sabbath, is the first day of a Feast known as Succoth, Feast of Tabernacles, Feast of Temporary Dwellings and Feast of Booths. It commemorates the dwelling in tents while Israel sojourned in the desert for forty years following the Exodus from Egypt and before entering the land promised to Abraham's descendants. The festival is a seven day festival. The following day, or eighth day, is a Holy Day known as the Last Great Day, also a High Sabbath. This is the last Holy Day of the year. This year, 2015, this 22nd day of the 7th month falls on October 5.
