What's It All About?
So what's it all about? Is there more to life than just making money and paying your bills. Do you just do your best all the days of your life then die, the end. If you believe in an afterlife, do you ignore God all your life and just hope for the best once dead?
I say if you're searching for answers to, is there an afterlife? look to Jesus the one and only man who has ever resurrected onto eternal life as a spirit being. No other person comes even close to being significant presently or historically. Historians have made much of certain characters and some religions have made much of certain characters but realistically, what have they done or accomplished to win over even a single follower? Their ways lead to death as they have shown by their example. Only Jesus has lead to life by His example.
What was the way that Jesus taught? Mercy and compassion to the point of performing miracles in order to help people out of their misery. What religion did He practice? The same religion He established as the author of the Bible and Creator of mankind, keeping all ten of the Ten Commandments. He observed the Holy Days taught in the Old Testament, the only Testament of His day. The religious leaders of His day, the Jews, found His observances without reproach or they would most assuredly have accused Him of breaking tradition and leading others astray.
Few people follow the teachings and way of Jesus Christ today. Many who profess to be followers pervert the way with liberties even redefining terms made simple in the Holy Scriptures such as the Sabbath. Extremists go so far as changing the long standing traditions of counting the days of the week starting with the first day, know today as Sunday, to the second day, know today as Monday. It boggles the mind that people are so ignorant and tolerant that those who would make this diabolical change are being successful. Unbelievable. Loathsome. It is not yet very evident in North America but it is in Europe, so I am led to believe. I have seen calendars reflecting the movement in Canada, much to my dismay.
Few people are aware that there is a movement under foot to observe the months as governed by the moon and established by God and not a distorted schedule established by conceited political human mortal leaders. Most people are totally unconcerned. They think that hypocrisy and grandiosity are insignificant or irreproachable, even admirable. Surely they don't realize that in accepting these things they mock God and they mock human intelligence, making absolute fools of themselves. At times I find it very difficult to have sympathy for such as these. Nevertheless, may God have mercy on them and on us who do not know how to stop this affront.
The way to eternal life is to follow Jesus Christ the Creator and not to follow mortal man, no matter what his title or position in society is or was. Follow the truth, not fables and fantasies. Take a stand for righteousness. What are you all about?
