The Great Divide
How to bridge that great divide
Between Godly bonding
And your stubborn pride
Sometimes nagging
If you want to achieve
You must trust and believe
In yourself and in God
Not paralyzed and awed
Do you understand the Bible
Are you enlivened not dull
Enough to take action
Not beaten into inaction
And to stand your ground
You will feel trivial
Even as you battle
Only God is profound
When you do His will
He willed for you to do it
Are you predetermined or predestined
Do you have your own will
Are you the author of wit
Are you burdened or christened
Is it only if you do evil
That you feel full
Then it is a great divide
When full of pride
But with the will of God
That gentle prod
It becomes a snap
To bridge the gap.
