Baby steps start your journey
Quivering shaking cautiousness
Practice strengthens balance
Comfort grows with experience
Climbing stairs steps to success
Familiarity breeds confidence
Running steps show mastery
Dancing steps expertise
We Christians walk a narrow path
First we’re awakened by awareness
Then resist with pride and humanness
Next pensive response repentance
With careful study we accumulate
Followed by dedication and devotion
By example of Jesus baptism a cleansing bath
Keeping only truth righteousness and obedience
Acceptance from God with blessing of holy spirit
Boosted daily by a Bible basted diet
Satan’s strangleholds we violate
With a lifetime of steadfastness
Though we keep in motion
Stepping down the narrow road
God in command with warning goad
Patiently we step toward our destiny
Always striving for increase.
