Hamilton Oaks

I remember a grove
From years ago
Magnificent oaks
Each standing alone
Yet together
In a spacious field
Pristine but wild
Powerful titans
Strong and tall
A gathering of kings
With a rich history
Of a long full vibrant life
So I thought
A gentle breeze
Made them speak
The voice of God
And songs of angels
Beyond understanding
Impactful impression
An enriching experience
Majestic trees
Marvellous creation
I longed to go back
To fill another moment
But they paved paradise
And put in a parkway.
