Ode To A Hangglider
Is it a bird or is it a plane
for perches, chains and deckilometers
every theodolite takes aim
and thousands of eyes of wonders
watch as it flies through the air
with the gentlest of ease
nary a care wind in his hair
the sky of the brave men of trapeze
it^s Paul Sheehy
higher than a tree
with flailing prop
throbbing over crop
the birds scared out of sight
by this monstrous kite in flight
Paul Sheehy, a local musician turned Land Surveyor before seeing the light, is now a computing wizard keeping his sanity like the birds, by flight.
